Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp offers award award-winning unique and innovative summer camp opportunities for children and adults with varying disabilities. On any given day at camp our campers can be seen catching a fish in our pond, swinging high in the sky on our very own adventure course “Flying Squirrel” element, splashing around in our temperature controlled pool, painting one of our kind and loving horses, or perhaps dancing the night away in full costume at an evening event. Our camp fosters a sense of accomplishment for campers and allows them to experience freedom.
They soar, or as camper Renae told us: “At camp, I can fly”.
Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp offers programming for all individuals with disabilities ages 11 and up. In addition to our Main Camp program, we offer off-site programming for individuals seeking a higher level of independence and adventure. Campers keep coming back year after year to experience all Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp has to offer – recreation, fun, friendship and more!
For some children, riding a horse or climbing a rock wall is lots of fun. For kids like my son, they are life changing experiences. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
