2013 Registration Information
Registration will begin on January 14, 2013

Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp offers four options for campers -- Main Camp, Trip & Travel, Tent & Travel and the Canoe Program.

Main Camp

Activities include the adventure course, horseback riding, fishing, hiking, arts and crafts, swimming, evening programming, and campfires. In addition, campers take one trip weekly to canoe at Trillium Lake.

In Main Camp, each camper is paired up with one counselor.  Campers in Main Camp have readily available access to medical and behavioral supports. Occasionally, campers need additional, personal support at camp. There will be a $50 per day charge for caregivers attending camp with their campers ($250 for the week).

Campers sleep in lodges or cabins in groups of 4 or 8 campers.  Meals are served in the dining lodge.  The camp, including the challenge course and horse corral, is wheelchair accessible. Fee: $1275.

Trip and Travel / Tent and Travel Camp

Trip & Travel and Tent & Travel campers enjoy day-long excursions as well as the activities offered at Main Camp.  Campers experience additional challenges on the ropes course, spend a day river-rafting on the Deschutes, and experience Skibowl Adventure Park.  The Trip & Travel campers stay in lodges or cabins while the Tent & Travel campers sleep in tents in the Upper Barlow area.

There is one counselor for every two campers.  Outings are active and rigorous.  Campers must have attended Main Camp at least one year before applying for Trip/Tent and Travel camps. If your camper has not already successfully participated in an off-site program, prior approval from the Program Director will be required before enrollment of your camper.  If it is not an appropriate fit for your camper, s/he will be moved to Main Camp if space is available.
Fee: $1350.
