On-line Registration
(All first-time campers must be under the age of 35.)
The off-site programs (Trip & Travel, Tent & Travel and Canoe) require that your camper attend main camp at least one year to be evaluated for suitability. Do not register your camper for one of these programs for the first time unless you have received prior approval.
We would like all campers, if possible, to
apply on line. When you register on-line, you will be required to make a payment. You may select a $100 deposit or pay in full by credit card or e-check. If you choose the $100 deposit option, you may make additional payments at any time by logging into your account and selecting the "make payment" option. Full payment is due one month prior to camp.
To edit information on an already existing account, go directly to your account
here.
When you register, you will receive two e-mails. The first is the "Thanks for registering" e-mail. The second is the "Welcome to your MyCamp Account" e-mail. This one contains the link to your account and payment information. Please save this.
No deposit is required if an agency is paying. However, it will be necessary to enter the agency information on the payment screen.
You also need to print, complete, and send
medical and release forms to the
Portland office:
Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp
9320 SW Barbur Blvd., Suite 165
Portland, OR 97219
The medical and release forms must be received at least 30 days before camp attendance. Registrations are subject to cancellation if the forms are not received on time.
If your camper has Autism Spectrum Disorder or other sensory concerns, please complete the following form.
Autism Questions for Planning Supports
(All first-time campers must be under the age of 35.)
Parents and caregivers who do not wish to apply on-line may apply by printing the
application form. It includes the
medical and release forms. If you need a campership application, see the campership form described below. Please complete these forms and send them to the
Portland office.
NO FAXES, PLEASE.
You may also call the Portland office at 503/452-7416, ext. 104 and we will mail you a paper application.
Eligibility
We serve a wide range of campers in terms of ages, disabilities, needs and abilities. However, we cannot accept campers who, in our opinion, may be a danger to him/herself or others while at camp. If you are uncertain about your camper's suitability for camp, please read the eligibility policy before applying.
Camper Fees
Fees for one week at camp are $750 per camper for Main Camp, canoe camp, and $800 for Trip or Tent and Travel due to added activities.
The total expense, including staff, maintenance, food and other costs, for one camper to stay one week at camp is over $1,600. The difference between camper fees and total cost is made up by generous donations and revenue from off-season rentals of our campsite.
Camperships are awarded on a sliding scale and first-come first-serve basis. Award maximum is $275. Only one campership award will be granted per eligible camper per year. Campers who have agencies that will pay for camp are ineligible for camperships.
To apply for financial assistance in paying camp fees, please print, complete and send the
Confidential Income Statement - Summer Food Service Program (pdf form) to the
Portland office.
If this request IS NOT completely filled out, including all income information, it WILL NOT be considered. When awarded, we will apply the campership to your account. You may log in to check it. Please allow two weeks for processing.
